Using the wheel as a team generator

Switch to Make teams mode, choose how many people per group, and spin. The wheel shuffles everyone and splits them into random teams. It spreads any remainder fairly — so eight people into pairs gives you four clean pairs, and nine people gives you a trio plus three pairs, never a lonely group of one.

Is the randomness actually fair?

Yes. The wheel uses your browser's cryptographic random generator (Web Crypto) with unbiased sampling — not the predictable Math.random().
